What is it that we create in our 60s and 70s?
I spent the first half of my career building a payments software company in the south of France, serving banks in 30 countries. In my late 40s I sold it, and discovered I liked people more than computers. Since then, my work has been with CEOs and C-suite teams — less about speed, more about presence.
Here’s what I’ve learned working with hundred of senior executives: At 50, you may not be winding down. You may be only halfway, perhaps even a third, into your active working life. While your 30s and 40s were about achievement, meaning and impact now take center stage.
The richest work of our lives may still lie ahead. I’m eager to be part of creating it. I feel like I’m just getting started.
